Torrevieja beach and town centre
Torrrevieja town runs along the southern costa blanca, it has a great shopping area with small local shops in which to find a bargain or two.A bustling street market operates every Friday, where there is a vast amount of food and clothing for sale. Banks open between 9am-2pm and shop hours are 9am-2pm and 5pm-9pm. Supermarkets, cafe's, restaurants and bars are open all day.
There is a beautiful marina area and pier on which to walk, museum, parks with swings and a mini golf area near to the beach. The cinema complex, bowling, sports centres, water-parks, horse-riding, hypermarkets and new shopping mall are just outside of the town centre.
The locals are friendly and there is a large ex-pat community, English is widely spoken.
Transport links are good with hoppa buses serving most housing areas just outside of the main town. They run from 7am to 10pm except for July to September when they continue on until 11pm. The journeys take about 30 minutes. A taxi to the housing complex is around 10 euros.
There is a coach station in the town centre from where it is possible to travel to various locations for daytrips. A direct service runs to Alicante Airport and around the area to different villages and towns. They are a fairly cheap way to explore if you're not hiring a car. The nearest mainline train station is in Alicante.
The Bungalow
Situated a short distance from the main town, the Torretta 3 area is serviced by bus line B which stops 2 minutes walk from the house.
There are English and Spanish bars open all day and two corner shops for essentials.It is adjacent to the salt lake which many bathe in for its therapeutic qualities.This little holiday house sleeps 5 people. It is equipped with self-catering facilities, kitchen, bath and shower, laundry area and air-conditioning. It has a large south facing terrace ideal for sunbathing and barbecues. It is suitable for those on a budget and cheap rates are available all year round.
